Add QR Code to PDF — Invoices, Certificates & Business Cards
QR codes on PDF documents make them interactive. Learn how to add QR codes to invoices, certificates, and business documents.
QR codes on PDF documents allow recipients to quickly access your website, UPI payment link, contact details, or verification page by scanning with their phone.
Best use cases for Indian businesses: GST invoices with UPI payment QR, course completion certificates with verification links, business cards with contact vCard, product catalogs with order links.
For GST invoices: Add a UPI QR code (format: upi://pay?pa=yourname@upi&pn=YourName&am=1000) to make it easy for clients to pay directly from the invoice.
For certificates: Add a QR code linking to a verification page (e.g., your website's certificate verification portal) so recipients can prove authenticity.
For educational institutions: Add QR codes to mark sheets and certificates linking to the official verification portal. This reduces fraud significantly.
Positioning tips: Bottom-right corner is standard for invoices. Top-right is common for certificates. Center placement works for promotional materials.
Size recommendations: 80pt (about 28mm) is the minimum for reliable scanning. For documents that will be printed, use at least 100pt.
