Add Header and Footer to PDF — Professional Document Formatting

Add company name, page numbers, dates, and custom text to every page of your PDF. Perfect for reports, proposals, and official documents.

Professional documents in India — project reports, business proposals, legal briefs, and academic papers — are expected to have consistent headers and footers on every page.

What to put in headers: Company name or logo (text), document title, date, or 'CONFIDENTIAL' marking. Headers appear at the top of every page.

What to put in footers: Page numbers (Page 1 of 10), document reference number, company website, or copyright notice. Footers appear at the bottom of every page.

For CA and legal documents: Add the firm name in the header-left, document date in header-right, and page numbers in footer-center. This is the standard format for Indian legal and financial documents.

For academic reports: Add the institution name in the header, student name and roll number in the footer-left, and page numbers in footer-right.

Dynamic placeholders: Use {n} for the current page number, {total} for total pages, and {date} for today's date. These are automatically filled in for each page.

Tools360 supports 6 placement zones: header-left, header-center, header-right, footer-left, footer-center, footer-right. You can fill any combination.

Font size recommendation: 8-9pt for footers (subtle), 10-11pt for headers (visible but not distracting). The default is 9pt which works well for A4 documents.
